Return Policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

At AutoPartsStop, we want you to get the right part. If something is not right, you have 15 days from delivery to return most new, unused parts. This policy explains what can be returned, how to start a return, and how refunds work.

The 15-day window

You may return most new, unused parts within 15 days of delivery for a refund. To qualify, the part must be unused and uninstalled, in resalable condition, and returned in its original, undamaged packaging with all hardware, instructions and accessories included.

Returns must be authorized before you ship anything back. Start a return by emailing support@autopartsstop.com with your order number and the reason for the return, and we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions.

How to start a return

  • Email support@autopartsstop.com with your order number within 15 days of delivery.
  • We review your request and send an RMA number and the return address.
  • Write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the carton and ship the part back within 7 days of receiving it.
  • Once we receive and inspect the part, we process your refund.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method after we receive and inspect the returned part, typically within 5–7 business days of inspection. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit.

Original shipping charges, if any, are non-refundable except where the return is the result of our error. A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply to change-of-mind returns; it never applies when the return is due to our error.

Who pays return shipping

We pay return shipping when the return is our fault — a wrong, defective or damaged part, a mis-pick, or a fitment error caused by our catalog data.

You pay return shipping for change-of-mind returns or ordering the wrong part. We recommend a trackable, insured service, as we cannot refund a part we do not receive.

Non-returnable items

For safety and manufacturer reasons, some items cannot be returned once opened or installed:

  • Electrical and electronic parts that have been installed or powered up — sensors, modules, switches, ignition and lighting components.
  • Special-order, custom or made-to-order parts.
  • Hazardous-material items with carrier restrictions (certain fluids, batteries and airbag components) once opened.
  • Items marked “non-returnable” on the product page, and any part showing signs of installation, use or damage.

Damaged, defective or incorrect items

Inspect your order on arrival. If a part arrives damaged, defective, or is not what you ordered, contact support@autopartsstop.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos. We will arrange a replacement or a full refund, including shipping both ways, at no cost to you.

Core charges

Some parts carry a refundable core charge. Cores have their own return window of 30 days from delivery. The returned core must be the same part you replaced, drained of fluids and packed in the original box. Core credits are issued once the core is received and verified.

Manufacturer warranty

Returns are separate from warranty coverage. Many parts carry a manufacturer warranty that extends beyond the 15-day return window; warranty terms are shown on the product page. For a warranty claim, contact support@autopartsstop.com and we will help administer it with the manufacturer.
